I got a call from a number in Manchester, with someone claiming to be from the Barclays Fraud Team. He told me they were checking if I'd really requested to pay £840, and asked me to press 1 to talk about it. I hung up straight away and then rang Barclays Customer Support myself. They told me there wasn’t any payment like that on my account, either approved or waiting to go through.
