This number rang me and a bloke called Mark wanted to speak to me, claiming he was from Harrington Accountancy. When I asked how he got my details, he got quite pushy and said I supposedly asked for help with my finances - which is rubbish, I didn’t ask for anything. I pressed him about where they’d got my phone from and he said it was from some place called TAD Finance. Apparently, I must have entered a giveaway and forgot to opt-out of contact. Tried to find these people but there's no trace of them anywhere. For the past fortnight, I’ve been getting at least a couple texts each day plus daily calls from different numbers pitching loans, accident claims, debt advice and the like. So annoying!

Got a call from this number, claiming I’d filled out some credit application and that my credit score was really bad. They said they wanted to help me fix it. I received a call from a firm, the name of which was something along the lines of Harington. I suspect they were attempting to lure me in with a loan that featured extortionate interest rates or something similar. When I rang them back, I instructed them to take my details off their list, and they assured me that they would.

These people have been calling me constantly, and saying it’s just once would be a lie. For nearly two weeks now, they ring from about half six in the morning until nearly seven in the evening. I can’t just switch my phone off because I need to keep it on for my poorly one-year-old, and I’m working as well. The first time I answered, they were really polite, but as soon as I said I wasn’t interested in a loan, the guy got annoyed and told me I was “wasting his time.” I told him I was the one wasting my time since I work shifts at a nursing home - some days 5am to 5pm, other days 8am to 8pm - and then I just said “goodbye.” Despite telling them off, they still keep calling after two weeks! Does anyone know how I can put a stop to this?

They were telling me they had some good news about a loan application but said my credit rating was causing issues. The person told me, "I can help move your application to the next step" and asked for my date of birth, saying "the 26/1, can you confirm the year please?". I thought it sounded suspicious and I didn't trust it, so I said I hadn’t actually applied for anything. Then they asked, "Have you taken out a loan in the last six months?" When I said no, they just said "Alright, I'll leave it there then" and hung up. This feels like a total scam to me.
