This morning my phone rang, thought it was TPS listed but turns out it was just another silent call.

This firm has been ringing me all morning, starting at about half past six, with two calls where no one said a word and two calls from representatives. I can’t really hold the TPS responsible for the silent calls since they don’t cover those, but they do suggest signing up with Silentcall-gard, which I’ve just done today.

Got a call from someone claiming to be from a company called Preva or something related to a windows replacement program. They actually knew my name, which was a bit creepy. When I asked where they sourced my phone number from, they said it was from some national database. I then asked for details about that database and how I could opt out, but all I got was "just google it" before they hung up on me. Spoiler alert: searching online didn’t give me any useful info at all.

This number has rung us twice already since about 5.30 this evening. We usually get a couple of calls every day from here and other places, so we've pretty much stopped picking up the phone. We're signed up with the TPS, but it doesn't seem to be helping at all. It's really frustrating!
