On the 2nd of October, 2018, my neighbour, who is grappling with dementia, received a rather odd phone call. The carer, who happened to be there at the time, noted that the voice on the line was quite deep and had a gruff quality to it, possibly hinting at African roots. Feels like it’s either a business or person hoping you’ll ring them back and then somehow you get charged, with the bill going to whoever called.
