They keep ringing me on my mobile no matter what time it is, day or night, about PPI stuff. The company’s called Help Your Claim PPI or something like that. Won’t tell me how they even got my number. Honestly, these lot are proper lowlifes.

Heard some youngsters in a Manchester call centre hassling people to sign up for a PPI claims company, probably using auto-diallers or summat. Honestly, that must be such a rubbish gig. You could tell they were pretty eager for any leads they could get.

This number called me a few times but I never picked up. When I looked it up, others said the only way to block them is by banning all incoming calls. Problem is, that means I wouldn’t get calls from anyone not saved in my phone. Bit of a catch-22 really.

The number started with 0161, which I know is Manchester. Thinking it might be someone I knew, I called back. It quickly became clear the guy on the end was working out of a hectic call centre. He told me a bank supposedly owed me money and began asking about my mortgage and credit card details. When I questioned where he got my number from, he said it was just one in a big list he had. I told him to take my number off his database immediately. Honestly, don’t pick up if that number rings you, and if possible, block it straight away.

I took the call without checking the number since it’s on my spare pay-as-you-go phone, which only a few family members know about. When I asked where he got my number, he just said it popped up on his screen. The guy was really pushy, almost rude, constantly trying to sell me PPI. Even after I told him I’d already sorted a claim on my own and didn’t want his help, he kept nagging. I warned I’d report him but he claimed he wasn’t doing anything wrong. Got a call on my phone from a number I didn't know. After a while, someone with a northern accent started talking, but there was loads of background noise, so it was hard to catch what they were saying.
