They said i’d been in a crash last December, which i actually had, so i played along at first. Then he said something like ‘when you took your car to the garage after the crash, you missed out on a £500 claim’ - which was odd coz i never took it to a garage after that accident. Yesterday, a lady called and seemed really prepared, she answered all my questions smoothly. She said she was from Accident Advice Helpline and told me to check them out, promised to ring back tomorrow. I’ll see what she says today and then put a block on the number!

Got a call from a lady about an accident I was in back in April, said everyone in the car could make a claim and was advising me to say we all had whiplash for two months. It all felt a bit dodgy so I ended up blocking the number.

I said, unless I’ve got amnesia and forgot, I’d definitely remember if it happened. Then they just hung up on me. Really fed up with these people ringing all the time. I've attempted to reach out to my elderly family members more than ten times in the last couple of days. Apparently, they've been promised some sort of compensation for an incident that took place back in February! I'm absolutely fuming because these scammers have my relatives' personal information and claimed that a courier would swing by tomorrow with documents for them to sign. I'm feeling quite lost here... It's unsettling how these fraudsters prey on those who are vulnerable, and I’m at a loss for how to put an end to this. It's genuinely alarming!

Got a couple of calls from these lot claiming they're a non-profit group funded by insurance firms 0.0.3%!!! Seems like your info has been passed around somewhere in your insurance claim process. Try to gather as much info as possible (record the call if you can). Then report it to your insurance company or agent mentioning the Data Protection Act (GDPR).

On the 10th of July they rang me once more claiming to be from the Accident Advice Centre. I told the bloke I’d registered a complaint with the telephone preference service, and he actually threatened to keep ringing every 10 minutes until my landline was useless. What a lovely bunch. This is proper annoying, had like 12 calls today alone! I’ve blocked the number but it shows up again. They’re calling from other 0161 numbers as well. My phone only lets me block 10 numbers and I’ve already used them all on these pests. We keep reporting it but nothing changes, no one seems to care. Why can’t this site do more than just collect complaints? Seriously, someone’s gotta do something about this!

About a year back I had a bike crash. These idiots call every single day. I never pick up, most times I hang up before it even stops ringing. At this stage, it’s feeling like proper harassment. I wouldn’t recommend answering or dealing with these muppets at all. They just don’t give up, probably wired on whatever weird stuff they’re smoking all the time.

I told them ages ago I'm not interested but still get like 3-4 calls daily. Reported it to EE but they just don't care. Even phoned the police about harassment and they said it’s not harassment because an auto-dialer wouldn’t call that often. I’m on the TPS and never gave anyone permission to call me. You can report these calls to Ofcom by visiting their website at [#]ofcom[###][###] or by ringing them on 0300 123 3333. I also got in touch with my phone provider, Virgin, to pay £2.50 a month for caller ID, and ended up spending £42 on a new phone to stop the annoying calls, but I just got so fed up I had to sort it out. Definitely report it to Ofcom so they can slap fines on these idiots. I believe some phone companies offer caller ID free of charge too.

Then he claimed it was about my husband’s car accident, and I told him straight off, “He’s never had an accident, don’t call here again.” Next time, he’ll properly get told off. I received a rather dubious phone call from this number. The chap on the other end claimed to represent an insurance claims firm. He attempted to persuade me into concocting a fake accident claim from back in 2016. Apparently, he would pocket a fee from the dodgy claim while I’d supposedly receive the remainder. When I pointed out that he was essentially soliciting my involvement in something quite illegal, he had the audacity to chuckle and confirm that was indeed the case. Simply outrageous!

Someone from this number kept ringing me up three times today. The first few times I asked why they were calling but she just wouldn’t say much, only that it was something to do with an accident from over a year ago. So I just hung up each time. Got a cold call from some bloke claiming to be from a company who apparently looked up details about my car, telling me I "had an accident". I never had any sort of crash! Also found it weird that he called me by my first name - if he was truly professional, he should’ve used Mr ... anyway, I ended the call straight away.

"Accident Claims Centre" are total scumbags, been ringing non-stop for 3 weeks even tho I told them to stop and I'm on the TPS list. Proper annoying, reported them already.

If you've already signed up with the TPS, make sure to report any scam calls to the ICO. For silent or dropped calls, report them to OFCOM. Spammers couldn't care less about comments here, but they definitely get concerned when complaints are sent to OFCOM or ICO - it only takes a minute or two to do.

This bloke who said his name was Javid rang me up, asking stuff about a car crash I supposedly had. I told him I’m unlisted so wondered how he even got my number. He didn’t take that well and started being really nasty and swearing. I just hung up on him.

On day five, I told them to quit bothering me and said I’d report them to Ofcom if they didn’t. They started shouting at me, so I just ended the call.
