called me about a crash i had last friday, asking if it was only me or if another driver was involved, then wanted to know who was at fault. when i said i didn’t reckon it was my fault but pretty sure the other driver would disagree, the call just cut off. the real mystery is, how on earth did they know about it and where did they get my phone number from?

They rang me claiming to be from AXA, my car insurance or whatever - but it was all a load of rubbish to trick me into making some kind of injury claim. The minute I started asking questions, they just ended the call.

Got a call first about a survey regarding the garage I went to after a minor accident. Then they said I was owed some cash. I rang my insurer and they told me it had nothing to do with them, probably a scam. They called back and I asked what they wanted. The caller then said it was about my application for some dating show and that I was one of the last 20 contestants and could win £4000 if I joined. Either way, not worth picking up.

Got a call saying I could claim money from an accident I had recently. I've blocked the number on my iPhone now. Sadly, the calls keep coming and they keep switching the number each time. I’m just gonna ignore any future calls and keep blocking any 0161 numbers that ring me.

Got a call from someone saying they were ringing about a complaint I supposedly made with the garage about repairs after my accident (which is true, so I think the garage must’ve given them my info). We talked for about 5 minutes about the repairs, then they asked if I’d put in a claim. That’s when I ended the call. Trouble is, they keep ringing me non stop now.

somebody rang, said they were from an insurance group, called me by my full name. i said ‘maybe?’ then asked for his full name, he said he didn’t have to give it. when i asked if he had the guts to tell me his name, he just ended the call!
