Got a call earlier today from someone named Gerard. I mentioned I wasn’t interested in what Smart Media Solutions were selling, and he started getting really rude. I ended the call straight away. Then he rang back right away, carrying on with the same nonsense, so I hung up again and blocked his number.

Got a call from some bloke called "Gerard" who was super pushy and rude. I made it clear we weren’t interested in Smart Media, but then he started going on about charging a "cancellation fee" on the card they have. I asked him to email me the contract he claimed I signed. When I explained I actually own the business and don’t need their services, he accused me of lying. Honestly, steer well clear of this lot.

Got a ring from Smart Media saying we’d paid them back in July 2019 to get our business on Google Maps. Total rubbish though - we never made any payment to them or anyone like that. I think they just grabbed the date from when we set up the business, which is public info anyway. I told them they sounded pretty sketchy and ended the call politely.

Watch out for Smart Media Solutions, also known as LINK PROMOTION. Earlier this year, the director, L### B####, attempted to close down Smart Media, but HMRC stopped it because he hadn't filed the accounts properly. This company and its related ones are dodgy and untrustworthy. Stay cautious!

He insisted we’d paid them last year for some service, which is completely false - I keep a close eye on all our payments and we’ve never dealt with these lot. This bloke, claiming to be Adam from Smart Media, rings up every single day asking for the owner by their first name, saying we've dealt with them before. Total rubbish, since I'm the one who always handles the payments. If everyone they bother was really number one on Google, that’d be something! Just to be clear, this site isn't meant for leaving reviews. It’s designed to alert people about dodgy sales calls, annoying harassing ringers, and trying to rip you off for stuff you’ll never get. I've had calls from this number and others linked to their old business name, and honestly, the warning signs fit perfectly. Best bet? Just block them and give 'em a wide berth.

So, I got a ring from Smart Media Solutions based in Manchester. Unlike some stories I've read, they weren't pushy or anything. I signed up for their local search management package, and honestly, it's doing the trick. They've got this dashboard where I can manage my local listings pretty easily. Gerard gave me a ring and did exactly what he promised, everything was proper and above board. If I ever need help, I just call this number again and he deals with it straight away. Instead of posting random negative comments that don’t help anyone, why not get in touch with him, explain your problem and get it sorted the right way? Just slagging him off anonymously doesn’t do any good and honestly, it makes me think those reviews aren’t genuine.

I got a call from these lot who used to be called Link Promotions but now go by Smart Media Solutions, all from the same phone number. They try to charge you for doing bugger all to your Google listing - something you can sort yourself. They also act like you’ve got an account with them when you don’t. Once they get your card info, they sneak money out without telling you. They’re based in Blackburn and use different names, but I’d bet it’s just the two directors making all the calls. Total scam. I told them to jog on immediately and blocked the number.

I've never used their services before and the guy sounded a bit pushy, kinda intimidating really. I told him there’s no way I’m paying. Today I got a call from someone named Gerard who said he was with Smart Media, some sort of advertising firm. Apparently, they deal with Google-related stuff or something along those lines. I had a quick look at their Trustpilot and Google reviews, and they looked legit enough. I ended up saying no to what they were offering, and that was the end of it. I dont recall his name but he claimed to be involved with google ads or something. He gave me loads of details about the business and said our listing needed renewing. He tried to get us to pay £100 for one year or £150 for two years. I mentioned the business was shutting down, then he offered a "retirement listing" for £100 instead. I said nah thanks and he just hung up on me before i could say anything else. I reckon some folks might fall for this if they arent paying attention.

Had a call from someone named Gerrard, claiming he was from Smart Media Solutions. He insisted I put a Google Maps ad through them back in February 2017. While on the phone, he even searched my name on Companies House like I’m daft. Once I told him I didn’t own that company back then and gave him the right contact, he backpedalled quickly. I ended the chat by saying that the call was pointless, and he replied, and I swear this is verbatim (I recorded it), “This call’s wasted cause you’re an a**hole.”
