They were really secretive about who they were, then suddenly said they were from “Law Rooms Solicitors” and mentioned we’d done some online survey about diesel emissions for a Mercedes - which is total rubbish as we don’t own one. They obviously knew our names but were so rude, yelling over us whenever we tried to speak. Definitely a scam.

Got a call on the 7th of December 2018, it was some recorded message from a woman with a British accent. She was telling me I’ve got a lawsuit against me and to dial 150 to talk to a Police Officer. Absolute con artists, how nasty!

This number rang my elderly mum and told her to press 1, which she did. After that, the caller claimed she owed £9000 to HMRC and accused her of fraud if she didn’t pay up. The scammer kept hassling her for her National Insurance number and date of birth, getting quite aggressive, so she ended up giving it. She then said she’d call back, but he just hung up. I’ll be reporting this to fraud alert, and everyone should too. These scumbags have got to be stopped!

Got a recorded call from a woman claiming to be HMRC, saying they’re taking legal action against me. I just said yeah right and ended the call. Then I tried calling back after dialling 1471, it rang for a bit which was a bit unusual, then went to voicemail with a male American voice. When I popped round to see my father, I found him lounging about in his outdoor footwear. Someone pretended to be from HMRC and called my mother-in-law, who’s quite elderly. They told her she owed £4000 and pressured her for her date of birth and National Insurance number. When she couldn’t give her NINO, they got really pushy and rude. They even threatened to send bailiffs or force a payment electronically. I had a phone call earlier claiming that the HMRC is taking legal action against me. It's clearly a scam, but I worry it could really distress someone who's more susceptible. I urge you to put a stop to these calls!

I rang my elderly mum and luckily I picked up the phone. It was one of those recorded calls saying, 'we’ve been trying to reach you about a refund'. I quickly ended the call and have blocked the number since.

I've received some rather alarming phone calls from this number as well. A gentleman of Asian descent claimed they were on their way to apprehend me. Quite unsettling, to say the least!

Got my third ring from these con artists today. I decided to chat with one of their so-called advisors and told him I’m with HMRC and I was onto their scam straight away. He didn’t take that well at all and just hung up on me! Proper rude behaviour, especially when I was only joking around a bit :) Honestly, these fraudsters should just be ignored. The lead-up to Christmas is stressful without these jokers messing with your head.

A bloke from 01618507785 rang me claiming he's from HMRC, trying to get my personal info. As soon as I started asking questions, the cheeky bugger just hung up on me.

Yesterday, my missus picked up the phone and these lot were on the other end. Honestly, it's such a pity the authorities don't crack down properly on these scammers. We're bombarded with fake robocalls and who knows what else almost daily, but this one felt like something way more nasty.

I didn’t pick up since the number wasn’t familiar. They left a voicemail telling me to get in touch with my case officer. If this number rings you, I’d suggest not answering - it’s a bit disturbing, especially if you’re not in a good place.

Got a call from someone pretending to be HMRC, really scary for older folks who could easily fall for it. I dealt with the exact same scam last year, and it honestly makes me so angry they think they can just do this without consequence. Fingers crossed no one’s fallen for it and handed over any money to these con artists.

Got a robo call on my home phone from some lady saying it was HMRC and that there’s a legal action against me or something like that. I’m pretty sure they’re lying!!! Didn’t press 1 to argue or pay, couldn’t be bothered. Honestly, I hope no one falls for these dodgy scammers.

Got a robotic call twice today claiming it's from HMRC saying they're taking me to court. It said something like "Press 1 to talk to your case officer." I knew it was dodgy so I alerted HMRC about the scam.

Got calls from this number four times over the past two days. The person on the other end claimed to be from HMRC, warning me about legal action unless I pressed 1 to talk to someone. I've gone ahead and blocked the number, though I'm certain they'll switch to different ones soon to carry on the same trick. I've flagged it as risky because some people might think it's legit and fall for it. Really glad I have Who Called Me to check these things!

Just received a dodgy automated call claiming to be from HMRC, stating that they're launching a lawsuit against me. It urged me to press 1 to chat with my so-called case officer. I've gone ahead and reported this to HMRC. What a nuisance!

Absolutely appalling scamsters - my 92 year old dad phoned me in a total panic after we told him to ignore a call from this number a couple of days ago. They rang again today, leaving a message threatening he’ll be arrested. Most folks might just brush off these dodgy calls, but it really gets me mad thinking about the fear and stress they cause to old and vulnerable people.

Got three calls this morning saying I’m being sued and to press 1 to talk to someone about it. Honestly tempted to ring them back and give ’em a mouthful, but not sure if it’ll cost anything, so I’m not gonna waste my cash on those scammer muppets!

Got a call from some muppets claiming to be from HMRC, saying there's some legal action against me and to press 1 to talk to the person handling it. I just cut off straight away, but it's such a pain.

Got a dodgy call from some scammers. Even tho I usually just block their number, this time they left a message on my answerphone. It was something like, "This is HMRC, legal action is underway, press one to speak to a representative." Honestly, the folks running these scams are absolute lowlifes with zero scruples. Really hope they get what’s coming to them quick.

Got a call from 01618507785 telling me to press 1 because supposedly the Inland Revenue were coming after me. Felt dodgy so I checked it out and saw it was a scam. I’ve blocked the number now.
