On 23rd August at about 11:52, I got a robo-call saying HMRC were about to take me to court. Honestly, the idea that a phone call alone could start legal action is ridiculous. But I suppose if someone's not clued up, it might cause some real panic. These scammers are just terrible people, looking to rip others off instead of earning an honest living. I'm definitely going to report this to the proper authorities since I'm signed up with the Telephone Preference Service. I really hope they get what’s coming to them.

Just got one of those tax scam calls like folks have said here. I hit 1 just to see what happens and ended up talking to some bloke called ‘Roger Williams’ who spoke with quite a thick Indian accent.
