Got a ring from 01615874929 earlier, some bloke saying he was with BT and that my internet was about to be cut off. Definitely a scam, so I just put the phone down. Honestly, best thing is to just ignore it altogether.

Got a call saying I had legal action and court stuff because there were claims made against me. Seemed like a scam to me, so I phoned HMRC who told me they never sort things like this over the phone or ask for payment info. I also went to the police and was given a crime reference number.

I got a voicemail saying it was HMRC and they were about to sue me, telling me to press 1 to talk to some case officer. My ex used to work there and, from what I know, nobody’s in the office on a Friday afternoon because of flexi-hours and early finishes. Best just to chuck it in the bin. Like all official stuff, if they need to reach you, they’ll send a letter.
