I got a call right after I’d sorted a sim from O2. Feels like they’re pushing those monthly plans instead of the cheaper ones. Also, I’ve been getting loads of emails with different phone numbers - bit fishy if you ask me.

After I ordered an O2 sim on their site, this number kept ringing me up. Now I’m really wary of O2 - won’t be going back to their services. It’s worrying how quickly my details ended up with scammers, just days after I placed the order. How exactly did that happen?

That was definitely a scam!

I got a call from this number saying they were from O2 about a SIM I had supposedly ordered. They already had loads of my info, even though I never gave them any passwords or PINs. I hung up, but then they tried calling back, which I ignored. After that, I rang O2 directly and found out that someone’s opened four more contracts using my account. Since then I’ve been getting tons of emails and texts about these “purchases.” My account's now frozen and the fraud department are dealing with it. Definitely worth double checking your accounts if you get a call like this!

I didn't pick up, but from what others are saying, it seems familiar. I bought an O2 SIM on their website last Friday, had a phone call yesterday, then another one today, and finally got the SIM through the post. I’ve gone ahead and blocked the number now!

Just like a few others here, I ordered an O2 SIM and then this number started calling me. The bloke on the phone sure knew quite a bit about me and kept pushing some "better deal." Took a while but I finally managed to get him off the line. Honestly, if this number pops up, I’d advise not to pick up.

Got a call after buying an O2 SIM online, with someone trying to get me to switch to a cheaper contract. They sounded so real, had loads of my private info, and definitely knew their way around an O2 script. Usually, I’m pretty decent at spotting dodgy calls but this one nearly fooled me. I got a weird feeling though and didn’t share anything, but then they sent me a super believable email with O2 branding and all my details in it. They were pushing me hard to sign up straight away, and I’m sure they’ll ring me again tomorrow.

They've been ringing me all the time ever since I got my O2 PAYG sim. After reading these reviews, I’m definitely not picking up.

Got a call on the 29th of March 2024, and it seemed dodgy. I only just got a pay as you go SIM yesterday, and now I'm flooded with calls like this. I’m planning to get in touch with O2 to cancel the contract I supposedly have unless they give me a proper explanation. Feels like my info’s been leaked or something. Really annoyed about this.

I got a pay as you go SIM for my old phone cus I ended my O2 contract. Turns out, this number’s a total scam! Seriously, don’t pick up if this rings you!

Total rip off! They somehow got me to sign a contract and then tried to put a phone on my account without my permission.

I got a SIM card from O2 on Friday and then on Monday I got a call from someone claiming to be O2. They asked if I’d got the SIM yet, even knew when I placed the order. Then they wanted my full name and password to "access my account," saying since I’ve been with O2 a long time, I was eligible for a discount. Seriously, O2, you need to do more to keep us safe and let us know about these scams!

I just got a sim card from O2 and honestly, it’s a shame we can’t give folks a heads up before they decide to get one from them.

This number rang me earlier but I ignored it since I never pick up unknown callers. If it was something important they could just drop a voicemail and I'll return their call. After checking this website and reading some of the comments, I’ve decided to block it now.

So, I got a call the other day from someone saying they were from O2, right after I’d ordered a SIM. I was chatting away with them until I decided to look up the number online. Turns out loads of others had been rung by the same number - bit dodgy if you ask me.

Lately I keep getting calls from this number. I just got a new SIM from O2, so I guess that’s why it’s happening. It’s pretty annoying having so many calls daily!

Total scam, stay away.

After I got my new 02 SIM, the calls wouldn’t stop coming in. I picked up once and told them straight to quit calling me. Turns out it was actually 02 themselves trying to sell me some contract I don't want. Bit annoying when I said no, but you can tell it was a proper 02 call centre.

I recently got a new sim and soon after, my phone started ringing loads. Didn’t pick up and decided to look the number up here to see if anyone else had flagged it.

I got an extra O2 rolling SIM delivered recently, and the very next day this number rang me. I never pick up calls from numbers I don’t know, so I ignored it. Later I checked the number online and saw loads of folks saying the same thing. Total scam, beware!

I went ahead and blocked it since 02 numbers come from Slough, not Manchester.

Just got a pay as you go sim from O2 and ended up getting scammed. Seriously, how does O2 let this slip through? If there’s been a leak of my info, they need to look into it properly. That's what GDPR is supposed to be about, right?

They were faking it, saying they were from O2, totally a scam.

He called claiming to be from Belfast, England, but obviously had no clue since Belfast is in Northern Ireland. Sounded like a typical Nigerian scammer to me. When I corrected him, he got really rude and just dropped the call. Total scammer behaviour.

Got a call from 02 after I'd asked about getting a sim card. They wanted to know why I was switching from my O2 contract to a rolling one, sounded quite legit. They also brought up broadband, so I’m thinking it’s probably some marketing firm working on O2’s behalf.

Somebody from the south acting all posh like they’re from up north, ringing 02 again. They’re so fixated on it, you’d think they’d clean up for once!

I got an O2 SIM delivered to me after ordering it online, and now I keep getting calls from this same number like half a dozen times daily. I never answer coz it feels dodgy - seems like someone’s used my info without permission. If you're unsure, it’s best to ring O2 using their official customer service number instead of answering these weird calls.

Got a call from some suspicious bloke down south pretending to be from o2... but the number defo isn’t o2. Classic scammer from the south, nothing new really!

Couple days after getting an O2 Pay as you go SIM, this number rang me up trying to switch me over to one of their contract plans. Honestly, the offer they gave was quite decent. I also got proper emails from O2 and paperwork that matched exactly what they said on the call. Seems legit to me, just a bit of O2's marketing pushing PayG users to sign up for contracts.

Got a dodgy call from someone claiming to be from O2, asking for my info. I had just applied for a SIM on the real O2 site, then these lot phone me like 4 times in one day! I swear, most scammers come from up north, bit of a stereotype but seems true. The government really needs to crack down hard on these muppets and anyone helping them out. Seriously annoying and makes you wary of answering your phone now.
