There’s a guy called Mark Smith dealing with investment art who was ringing from a London line, somewhere in Kensington, on 02038587452. The numbers he uses all look suspicious, and he doesn't bother leaving any voicemail to explain his calls.

Looks like this number’s been linked to scams in the past, judging by what I read here, and it’s still being used for the same rubbish. This time they were pretending to be HMRC, trying to scare me with some tax fraud nonsense. Total load of rubbish.

A little while back, I got contacted about buying some artwork from this firm supposedly run by Mark Smith of Marks Art and Artistic Futures. I was quite naive and ended up spending a lot on it.
The first number he used had a London dialling code, 020387452.
Later, he called again from a Manchester number, 01618502511, about the paintings. He sounded so convincing, but I just want to give a heads up to anyone who gets a call from him to be careful. If I had known who it was, I definitely wouldn’t have picked up.
