Said I had a joint bank account with my husband - problem is, I’m not even married! Then they mentioned a mortgage with a bank that doesn’t exist anymore. I guess they've dug up old details because my dad was a guarantor on my first mortgage yonks ago, but I've never had an account with anyone else. If there’s any marriage tax you can claim, best to sort it out yourself and don’t give any details to these people.

Mostly, they were trying to get me to apply for some marriage allowance rebate thing.
