PALRecover just texted me saying a company called Doorstep Recovery Limited will be coming to my home sometime between 9am and 9pm over the next week. Since I’m currently in a mental health facility, I told the Police who advised my 16 year old daughter to ring 999 if they show up. I’ve also taken legal advice and found out that it’s illegal for them to call unannounced during these hours, plus they have no court order so they can’t act as bailiffs. The cop looking into PALRecover is off duty right now but promised to get back to me as soon as he’s back on. If they actually turn up, they’re only allowed to talk about the debt and set up a payment plan - something I already proposed to PALRecover but they weren’t interested in.

Got two texts from these people, just ignored them at first. Then a couple of nights later, they showed up at mine round about 8pm. Ended up coughing up £345 just to make them leave. Was about some car loan I thought I’d already sorted.

Got two voicemails from these lot, didn’t bother replying, then suddenly three blokes showed up at my house. Ended up having to fork out £345 just to get them to leave. I called the police, but when they came round they said it was a civil matter, not a crime, so no arrest was possible. Absolute scumbags, hope they get what’s coming to them.

This "company" has been texting me non stop and even rang my landline, claiming I owe cash and threatening to send folks to my door within 3 days. I've spoken to a solicitor who said it's all a load of rubbish and just a scam. They advised me to never open the door if anyone shows up, always ask for their ID and snap a pic if they show one. The only ones allowed to come and collect stuff from your place are official law officers with a valid CCJ against you.

Don’t bother with PALRecover - they're not even a real company, and the firm they mention, Doorstep Recovery Limited, can’t be found anywhere either. Best thing is to just block the number, report it to your provider and let Ofcom know. Stay safe!

For the past three weeks, I've been getting these texts from a company that claim I owe money. It’s been really unnerving. At first, they said I had some kind of debt.
