I had this number blocked but now they’re leaving me voicemail after voicemail and then just hanging up! It’s really annoying!

Got a call from a lady with a strong Mancunian accent, who spoke about an endowment policy that should have matured back in 2005. She asked if I'd been compensated for any mis-selling and said they could help me claim 35% back or work on a no win, no fee basis. She already had some of my personal info and sounded pretty genuine. Then she connected me to their ‘legal team’ who offered to send me a pack with all the claim details to have a look at!

I picked up the phone, and they greeted me by my first name. Curious about who was on the line, I asked for their identity, and they revealed themselves as Endowment Surrender Plus. I informed them that I’m on the Telephone Preference Service list, so they shouldn't be contacting me. Their response was that it wasn’t a cold call and that they had 'exciting news' to share. Not interested, I declined politely, and they promptly ended the call.

picked up the phone and they wanted to speak to me by my first name. i asked who it was, and they said something about an endowment surrender plus. i told them i’m on the tps list, so why are they calling me? they tried saying it wasn’t a cold call and claimed they had good news. i just said no cheers and they ended the call.

Somebody rang saying they were from an energy supplier i’d never come across, so i just blacklisted the number straight away.

got a call from a person saying they helped me with some “xyz policy" ages ago, but they completely messed up my last name! i usually steer clear of 0161 numbers as they’re nearly always spam, but this one came through before i could stop it. i know real calls can come from manchester codes, but haven’t had any for years. i politely said thanks and hung up. never heard from them again!
