Had a call from this number earlier saying something about my council tax band being incorrect. They told me my house was in the wrong category and that I've been overpaying the council. Apparently, if I complete some documents, I might get a refund of about £1400. Sounds a bit off to me.

Got a call about some refund for council tax I supposedly overpaid, but they asked for money upfront. That didn’t sound right to me, coz councils never ask you to pay first to get a refund. Definitely a scam.
