Some bloke named Mohammed phoned me up out of nowhere, pestering me to let him check if I could get some interest back on my loans and credit cards. I told him a few times I wasn’t up for it, but he wouldn’t take no for an answer and sounded proper condescending. In the end, I just cut him off. Not long after, he called again, but I didn’t pick up.

Back in November 2015, I got a call from these people who said they deal with pensions. The accent sounded like they were calling from India or somewhere close by. I had a quick chat with them and it turned out they only want to speak to folks who have old pensions that are locked or frozen. When I told them I don’t have any pension like that, they just said cheers and ended the call.
