Gave our mobile a bell and they rang us twice after that before hanging up. Tried to call the number back but kept my number private. An American voice greeted me with some message about how urgent their call was, telling me to hold on for the next available representative. Honestly, these chaps need to be exposed for the nonsense they’re peddling!

I've received a couple of missed calls from this number, and much like what others have experienced, it’s some shifty American on the other end insisting that our call is of utmost importance and imploring me to stay on the line. Well, I’ll pass, thank you very much! It's likely going to cost me an arm and a leg. After doing a bit of digging online, it turns out this is definitely linked to First Step Finance.

I’ve been receiving unsolicited calls from this number, and it seems they’re not identifying themselves. Who could these individuals be to our partner when we’re not around? Moreover, it’s quite puzzling - how did they manage to get hold of our telephone number? We’ve been ex-directory for ages and have always kept our number private, never sharing it with any business. It’s truly baffling!

I received a couple of missed calls from this number, and when I tried to ring back, I was greeted by an automated American voice saying, "Your call was important to me..." Really? After about eight seconds on hold, we decided it was best to hang up and look up the number instead! What a faff!

Received a call today from the number 01618500757. The moment we picked up, the other end went silent and they hung up. Decided to ring back, but we were met with some jumbled audio saying to stay on the line for an agent. We soon lost patience and ended the call. Quite the odd experience!

I reckon this could have been a company called Easy Something (can’t quite recall the full name)! They rang us a couple of times from a withheld number, and as soon as we answered, they started chatting away about how they could assist with existing agreements for my loans, credit cards, and the like. They kept mentioning something about helping me get compensation or such! Quite baffling, to say the least!

I received a missed call from this number, so I tried ringing it back. It rang once, and then there was nothing but silence after that. I've no idea who's behind it!

I received a recorded message from a Scottish lady regarding credit cards issued prior to a specific date. It was quite off-putting, and I promptly ended the call.

Received a call from this number not long ago. As soon as we answered, there was nothing but silence on the line. We tried to ring back, but it didn’t connect to anyone at all! Quite odd, really!

I received a call from this number and encountered a pre-recorded message. It was something along the lines of "a public service announcement regarding personal injury." I was given the option to opt-out by pressing nine to have my details removed from their list. We’re already registered with the Telephone Preference Service, so it’s quite puzzling to receive such calls!

It feels as if there’s a call centre lurking behind the scenes; the moment you try to return a missed call, you’re met with that annoying automated message. Quite frustrating, to say the least!

Once again, it seems we’ve got a situation where someone on the Telephone Preference Service list is still being hounded by these pesky calls. We do screen our calls; thus, we caught a rather odd automated question on the answering machine, followed by some garbled announcement about an "invalid entry" or something similar, and then they abruptly hung up. Quite the nuisance, really!

We did a bit of digging online, but couldn't uncover who these folks are. As we're on the Phone Preference Service list, we really shouldn't be receiving these kinds of calls. The operator gave us a ring on our behalf and revealed their name to be "First Step Finance." We now have the ammunition to lodge a complaint with the TPS, as they’re clearly flouting the regulations.

Just received a dodgy call earlier this evening, seemingly about a supposed accident I’ve had. These individuals are peddling a no win, no fee service. What's more, I'm registered with the Telephone Preference Service, meaning these calls are clearly against the rules.

Just like many others, I answered the phone only to find silence on the other end. I decided to give them a ring back (thankfully my landline calls are included in my package) and now, as I’m typing this out, I'm still on hold. I was met with a rather robotic American voice that chirped, "Your call is incredibly important to us. Please remain on the line and your call will be passed to the next agent available." It’s been pushing on ten minutes now, and I'm still without a real person, just that same monotonous recording droning on and on every minute. I’ve finally had enough and am hanging up!

I keep receiving calls from someone with an accent reminiscent of the subcontinent, complete with a robotic voice that says something along the lines of, "Your call is incredibly important to us. Kindly remain on the line for the next available representative." I seem to be getting these missed calls every couple of days. It’s almost as if their message is refreshed every hour!

A gentleman phoned me up asking for someone I mentioned, claiming she was with 1st Step. However, the line was rather poor, and he soon hung up.

I received a call from these individuals, and they mentioned that if I pressed 9, I could opt to have my details erased from their records. Fingers crossed, that’ll put an end to their bothersome antics! They claimed to be a company offering assistance with debt issues.

I received a call from this lot, claiming they were associated with a government initiative aimed at assisting individuals burdened with unsecured debts of £1500 or more. They had the nerve to instruct me to press nine and the like. I didn’t give it a second thought, especially since I’m meant to be signed up with the Telephone Preference Service!
