That number is definitely linked to the Carphone Warehouse. I encountered a similar situation where they pretended to represent O2, trying to persuade me into an upgrade. After giving O2 a ring, they mentioned they’d received multiple reports about this. Curious, I decided to call the number again, hoping for a bit of honesty, but they continued to assert they were indeed from O2. It’s all rather deceitful, really. They pitch contracts that O2 doesn’t even offer!
