This number rang me up earlier and after looking it up here, turns out it's from a dodgy outfit. Today, some bloke named Lee was phoning asking for a Mrs Melville about a message supposedly left. It all felt a bit off, so I was pretty suspicious when I answered. He could tell from the way I spoke that I wasn’t convinced and said he was just following up on a prior message, but promised to remove our number from their list - though he warned we might still get calls. Honestly, why is nobody cracking down on these scam callers?

no matter how many times you tell them to stop, they never seem to take your number off their calling list. and if you get annoyed and shout at them, some of the people on the other end just chuckle like it’s some kind of joke. this number can ring you like 3 times a day without fail. i'd definitely suggest reporting it to both ico and ofcom.

Back in June, I got into a bit of a crash and then last month, this lot started calling saying I could claim up to three grand for 'injuries'. I told them I wasn’t hurt at all, but they didn't seem bothered. They kept pushing for my personal info. So, I looked up the number online and found loads of warnings about this company called Accident Assist. The moment I mentioned I work in insurance, they just slammed the phone down. Honestly, be careful with these people, something fishy is definitely going on.

I told them to take me off their list ages ago but they just keep ringing non stop. Seems like some insurance firms have a compensation pot that they don’t tell you about, and these calls claim they can sort it for you. Sounds dodgy if you ask me. It’s been a total nightmare, and they don’t seem to give up. Thankfully my phone’s blocking feature and iOS have been a lifesaver.

Got a call about a car crash that happened 3 years back, which I already dealt with ages ago. I kept telling them everything was fine... for the first 5 times they called. Then they rang me while I was away on holiday, it was 4 in the morning UK time on a Sunday! I told them to quit calling and asked for a manager. The manager said it couldn’t have been them since they’d just switched their number (but it’s the same firm) and then told me I was just wasting his time. Frustrating!

Got a call saying there was an insurance claim open from 2012, claimed they weren't trying to sell me anything but just offering assistance. I get calls on my mobile like 6 times a day, plus the unlisted home number gets buzzed several times daily too. You can hear background office chatter but then they just hang up. Honestly, it’s just annoying, if you ask me.

For nearly a year now, I've been getting calls from so-called "ambulance chasers", like this one, claiming I was in a car crash - even though I only ever called the RAC for help with a breakdown, not an accident. Somehow my info got out there somewhere. I complained to the RAC but they couldn't find out where the leak came from.

Advance fee scam - total rubbish. These muppets won’t stop ringing me up. Today, around midday, someone called himself "Lee". Right from the start he said the call was being taped - bit of a giveaway really. I’m no stranger to dealing with these muppets and, when I heard those red flag words, I didn’t hold back. Totally annoying calls! Just drop them a message telling them to quit ringing you. Make sure to mention section 11 of the Data Protection Act. If they keep calling after 28 days, report it to the ICO as a section 11 breach.

Got loads of calls from some personal injury lawyers, trying to get me to file dodgy claims. The first time I told them I'd only do it if they wrote down I was claiming because of harassment from injury lawyers, not because of any actual pain or injury.
