The phone rang, jolting our household awake at 2:55 this afternoon. It had that peculiar sound, reminiscent of a fax machine beeping away. When I tried to call back, it just rang, then abruptly cut off into silence. I really hope this was simply an errant dialling mistake and not the start of a deluge of unwanted marketing calls. Fingers crossed we won't be inundated with them!
