I picked up the call, but stayed silent as I suspected it was a call centre. They eventually hung up. I decided to search for the number here due to other users saying it’s a scam. I've now blocked it.

My wife picked up the call - the individual on the other end not only knew my name but claimed they were calling regarding an outstanding electricity bill for some other property. She quickly realised it was unrelated to us and hung up. After that, I decided to search for the number on this site, and it turned out to be a scammer.

Had a rather puzzling phone call the other day. The chap on the line wanted to chat with someone named Steve, but to my knowledge, we don’t have a Steve on the payroll. Then he proceeded to dive into questions regarding our NPower account, despite the fact that we've switched providers. He seemed quite keen to know who we were now with and attempted to fish for more details. When I told him I'd rather not divulge any personal information, he claimed he’d ring back later and wanted to know whom he should speak to. Honestly, it all felt rather dodgy-definitely gives off the impression of a scam, if you ask me.

I strongly advise against reaching out to this number or responding to any calls from it. It's nothing more than a total con. They’re falsely claiming to represent N-power.

It seems that I received a call from what was claimed to be a marketing firm involved in utilities. They suggested they could help me secure a better rate for my gas renewal. However, it felt rather sketchy, as they were merely probing for details about my renewal dates and other personal info without me having reached out to them first. To make matters more unsettling, they had the audacity to use my first name!

They claimed to be from Eon, mentioning that there was an issue with my account. However, as soon as I told her I’d ring back using the number on my bill, she abruptly hung up! Quite suspicious, if you ask me.
