I got a call from some bloke speaking with what sounded like an Indian accent, saying, “Hello, this is the NHS. You’ve had your vaccination, haven’t you?” and he even used my last name! It’s baffling how they manage to get hold of our personal info and why it seems like no one can put an end to these scam calls.

Saw that earlier mention about putting an end to those scam calls and it caught my eye. Gonna look into it further. Something needs to be done because blocking doesn’t help till after the call’s already been made. But it’s not gonna happen without loads of people making noise, can’t do it alone.

Got a call from a woman, sounded Asian, she asked if I could hear her properly. I said no, then she just hung up. Definitely a scam call.

When I repeated their message for clarity, the caller quickly backtracked, insisting it wasn’t Citizens Advice at all, but rather some other firm whose name was utterly lost on me. When I inquired again to clarify which company they represented, he brusquely told me to listen and to not fret, before abruptly cutting the call. I strongly recommend you block this number; it certainly seems dodgy to me!

I received a call today purporting to be from some COVID-19 help centre, asking if I’d had my vaccinations. I pointed out that any legitimate calls from the NHS would come from an 0345 or 0800 number, and just like that, the chap on the other end cut the line!

I received a rather peculiar phone call from a woman with an Indian accent, claiming to be part of the Covid Track and Trace team. She inquired whether I had received my vaccination certificate in the post, to which I replied in the negative. She assured me that she would look into it. When I probed her about the purpose of her call, her answer was somewhat unclear. Curiously, she then asked if I had life insurance to support my family. After telling her I didn’t, I half expected her to offer me a policy, but instead, she simply said, “Alright. Enjoy your day,” before abruptly hanging up. Quite strange, indeed. I attempted to return the call, but it rang out and I was disconnected.

He keeps asking about my vaccine status and my insurance details. I found him rather impolite when I asserted that I had no intention of discussing my insurance with him. When I asked him to take my number off their list, he quite frankly stated that they would keep calling me persistently. This is now the third number I’ve encountered from him, and I’ve had just about enough-I’m definitely blocking it.
