I got a call from some firm saying we’d been sold dodgy insurance, rattling off pretty much every bank out there in the UK. When I called them out on it, they started getting really rude, even called me uneducated! Then they went and gave me the personal details of another person, which is a total breach of data protection rules. The conversation ended with them swearing at me. They said they were based in Manchester but weirdly their accent shifted to London as they got angrier. Proper dodgy bunch.

I got a call from some place called Reliance Advisory and all they seemed to know was my first name, nothing else. When I politely asked them to take me off their calling list because I’m not interested in PPI, they got really rude. The woman said they’d keep calling me until I gave them more details. I told her I’d block the number, and she just said that wouldn't stop them from ringing! Proper annoying.

They kept asking for me by name, but when I told them he wasn’t here and if I could pass a message on, they simply replied "no problem" and hung up. Doesn’t seem very professional to me. I get calls like this several times daily, always from slightly different 0161 numbers!
