Normally, I don’t even share my landline number, so that made me wary straight away. When they started going on about bank transfers, it pretty much nailed it for me - total scam. Don’t fall for it, just hang up!

My phone rang twice but no message left. I called back from my landline and got someone on the other end with kids chatting in the background. After me asking a few times, they said it was Brookdale about PPI. Years ago, I had a good experience with PPI through ‘The Claims Guys’ who are connected to Brookdale. I’ve dealt with Brookdale a couple times lately and both times I got unexpected money back. They do tend to cold call, so I’d recommend ringing them from a landline and if they say they have something for you, ask them to send it through the post or email instead.

I dealt with Brooksdale PPI refund and didn’t realise something important till after signing up. Turns out, they take almost half of any kind of tax refund you get, not just the PPI claims. Worse, once you agree to it, you can't just back out or get rid of them. I even saw them featured on Rip Off Britain, so that should’ve been a warning. Proper sneaky if you ask me.
