Got a call in August but there was no voicemail left. Figured it was probably some kind of scam.

I've had two calls from this number just this week, and each time it was someone with an Indian accent purporting to be from Autonet. I hung up on them both times, making it clear that I saw right through their little scam. Honestly, they should be utterly embarrassed!

Got a call from a woman with a strong Asian accent claiming to be from O2, offering me half price on my contract. She said she couldn’t give any info unless she sent me a security alert text along with a code. When she asked for the code, I refused and ended the call. She rang back shortly after, I hung up again and then reported the whole thing to O2’s fraud team.

Some bloke called saying he was from O2 but had this strong Asian accent, and funny enough, he said his name was Harry Smith! I called him out saying he was a scammer. Then after a bit of chatting, he asked me what phone I used. When I said a Blackberry, he just told me to bugger off! Hilarious really.

Had a chat with a woman who had a really strange Manc accent. She was keen to know loads about me but didn’t really want to tell me much about herself when I asked. Then she just ended the call. Fingers crossed I managed to put a pause on her trying to scam someone else, even if it was just for a short while.

I received a dodgy call the other day - the caller's accent was so thick I couldn't make out where they claimed to be ringing from. They were pushing some sort of deal, saying I could get half off my existing contract while keeping my number. Sounded too good to be true!

Typical spam call again. Just a heads up for everyone - don't ever answer or reply to these calls, cause then your number gets flagged as live and they start bombarding you. Best thing is to block and report them to 7726. Though I heard that nowadays your mobile provider should automatically block these numbers once you do it on a smartphone.

This number pops up as a Manchester one and says they're with o2, but when you ask for simple account info, they can't give you anything. They really push you to spill your account details. Keep in mind, they ring several times and if you call them out on their bluff, they can get quite annoyed.

Got a missed call from this number on Wednesday afternoon, but I didn’t hear the phone ring at all - think it just went straight to voicemail. Feeling like blocking it soon. These scam calls are getting way too cheeky lately. I can't help but think since Virgin started sending customers over to O2 after the merger, if some joker somehow got hold of a bunch of our mobile numbers and is just sharing them with these annoying telemarketers? Very annoying!

Oh yeah, total scam alert. These lot claimed to be from O2 and seemed proper legit, even sent texts that looked just like the real deal. Without me giving out any passwords or anything, somehow they got into my account. Next thing I know, they’ve ordered £1200 worth of iPhones on my name and sent them off to some place in Salford. ***SCAM ALERT / FRAUD*** Some bloke said he was from Virgin Media and that I could get a 40% discount. He said he’d need to send me a couple of texts first, then after that he’d email me the details. Total rubbish, just trying to rip me off.

For the past few weeks, I've been getting nonstop calls and finally picked up one day. The person on the line had a thick Indian accent and their English wasn’t great. They said Virgin had partnered with O2 to handle accounts and were pushing some kind of discount. Oddly enough, my SIM card started showing "O2-UK" but I never got any official word from Virgin about it. So I’m still a bit unsure what's going on, but I can tell these persistent calls are definitely a scam trying to take advantage of that mix-up. I've gone ahead and blocked the number now.

For a few weeks now, i've been getting these annoying calls non-stop. I finally picked up one time and the guy had a thick Indian accent and terrible English. He said something about Virgin joining forces with O2 to sort out accounts, plus some discount deal. Weirdly enough, my phone's SIM now shows "O2-UK", but Virgin never told me anything officially. So honestly, no idea what's actually going on. One thing's sure though - those calls are just scammers trying to take advantage of the confusion. I've put the number on block now.

Got a call from someone saying they're with O2, trying to give me a "discount". They threw out some random number about my bill to seem legit, then asked me to read out a code from a text. Turns out, that code gives them access to your O2 account! Never ever give out any codes like that - they'll end up buying phones on your account and charging you for it. Stay safe!

So this guy rang me up saying he was from O2, offering some special discount. He sent me a code that seemed pretty real and told me not to share it with anyone, even O2 staff. Then, out of nowhere, he asked for the code himself! I just laughed it off and didn’t give it to him. Meanwhile, he kept getting more and more annoyed while I was checking his number here. In the end, I told him to shove off and ended the call.

Got a call from someone saying my number had been picked for an O2 offer. They mentioned something about getting two texts but told me not to share the number with others. Totally suspected it was a con coz there was loads of noise in the background. Then the kicker was when they asked if I was actually with O2 - but didn’t they just claim they were from O2 themselves?
