I was simply intrigued to find out who had been giving me a bell.

Got a right numpty on the phone earlier, inquiring about my financial troubles. The company was something like Stephenson Blake. When I casually mentioned I owed my mate a mere £3.64, he pried further into my affairs. I couldn't resist, so I joked about a pesky spot down below. He abruptly clarified that wasn't in his area of expertise!

They kept ringing me, so I said I was £480,000 in debts and asked if they could assist. After that, they were eager to help me out. I just kept telling them to call me the next day, then the day after, and kept postponing it like that over and over again.

This number keeps ringing me up and when I rang them back after missing a call, they already had my name which was weird coz I’ve never dealt with them before. I don’t usually share my phone number around so it’s a mystery how they got it. I told them they must have the wrong person and ended the call. Does anyone know a way to block these calls? I've been getting calls off 0161 826 2877 a few times but never picked up until this evening. The bloke said he was ringing from a debt collection agency offering help. I told him I don’t owe anything, so he must have the wrong number. Then he started talking about free boiler fixes through his firm. I mentioned I rent privately, so that’s not my problem. He got a bit stroppy, saying they could sort it for my landlord instead. I said no thanks. He then got proper annoyed and practically shouted, “So you’re gonna deny your landlord a free boiler repair?” I just said yes, and he hung up. Honestly, I wouldn’t bother picking up if it’s from this number - seems well dodgy to me.

This afternoon, on 15th May, I received a call from this number. The caller claimed to be from Stevensdrake solicitors and immediately asked if I was having money troubles. I cut him off and asked how he got my contact details. He said it was from an opt-in list. I told him I never agreed to anything like that, and then he just ended the call. So, does this mean they might have taken my number without permission from a place I've clearly chosen not to share my info with?

On the 26th of September, 2013, around 9:15 in the morning, this number rang me but I didn’t pick up since I had no idea who it was. I’m going to save it in my phone as a cold caller now.

Got a call from Stevenson Blake, some sort of debt management firm, asking if I was struggling with any unsecured debts. Seems odd to me - if I had issues, I'd be the one reaching out, not them hassling me. Typical sales spiel, so I just ended the call.
