These calls aren’t actually from Hattons solicitors - the scammers are messing about with numbers starting with 0161. Just block em and report the whole thing to Action Fraud as well as Hattons themselves, cos they’re faking the name. Make sure to give everyone you know a heads up, loads of folks won’t be clued up like the folks here.

Yeah same story here, got a call from Hatton solicitors about PPI. I never asked for anything like that, so I just refused to give any info. Told them I don’t deal with call centres for stuff like this. They tried pushing to find out which bank I use but I kept quiet. Ended up blocking the number. Please be careful and don’t get fooled by these scams. It’s so unfair how we get targeted, especially older people who’re more vulnerable. It’s crazy that companies like this can even operate. We really need better legal protections to stop this mess.

Got a call from someone claiming they were solicitors. They already had my name and even the bank I use. The line was really bad though, sounded like a robot or something, and as soon as I said my name, they just cut off the call. Definitely a SCAM!! Really risky stuff!

Sounds like it was one of those automated scam calls. Best to avoid picking up, otherwise your number probably ends up on a list and you’ll be getting ringed all day long.

They claimed to be from Hattons solicitors and said it was about a message I supposedly sent on 5th May. Thing is, I never messaged them at all. Oddly, they had my full name and even which bank I use. I told them to jog on, and moments later they tried calling me back. No doubt about it, total SCAMMERS.
