Looking at the clues, this seems like a persistent and tough telemarketing setup pushing several services, starting with home security and then pushing My Claim Group and IMX later on. Their way of working with me was to act as if they knew I might have a claim about wrongly sold car finance, and promised to share all the details, including who the lender was, but only after I signed up to let a certain law firm, linked to them, handle my case. Thing is, I never even had any car finance during that time.

Around 8:10 on a Saturday morning, just as i was waking up, this number rang me. It played a prerecorded message pretending to be from BT about an SMS that allegedly failed to reach my landline. They gave a number starting with 077… to call back. Funny enough, i’d already received a call from that same 077… number about two weeks earlier, which turned out to be a bank scam. In both calls, they knew my first name, which was pretty unsettling. The bloke's accent sounded eastern European, not asian. Watch out for this one!

Back in 2007, I gave my phone to my girlfriend so she could ring O2 about getting a phone contract. Ever since then, they’ve been ringing me every year, trying to push her a new phone - and we broke up ages ago, 2008 to be exact! SCAM ALERT. When I questioned them, they just laughed and bragged about how well off they are financially, even saying they aren’t feeling the pinch from the cost of living issues and have just driven off in a brand new Mercedes Benz. All this because no ones really trying to stop them. 😡 The Police told me to make a post on social media to warn others and get people to share it, since they reckon if everyone does this, more folks will learn about these scams.
