4 yearsGot a call from someone saying they were from EDF about renewing our contract. When I asked them to confirm the last four digits of our account number, they couldn’t do it but mentioned having our IPAN number instead. They asked to schedule a time for an account manager to ring us back, which we agreed to. However, after looking up the phone number, we realised it wasn’t from EDF at all. When the call came through, we confronted them about not actually being EDF - they claimed they were just acting "on behalf of EDF," but after pressing further, we found out they were actually brokers!EDF4 yearsThis guy called me claiming to be from my energy company, but he lied about it three times. When I asked where he was really calling from, he wouldn’t say and just ended the call pretty annoyed.4 yearsGot a call out of the blue from someone saying they were with British Gas. Asked if they could send me the details by post or email, but they said they weren’t able to provide anything in writing. Bit odd really.British Gas4 yearsGot a call from some annoying guy saying he was with Opus Energy, telling me I hadn’t sent back my renewal form. Complete rubbish! When I said I didn’t think he was legit and ended the call, he had the nerve to ring me again and started having a go at me. Proper cheeky and rude!Opus Energy4 yearsGot a call that sounded pretty legit but it was some bloke from Scottish Power wanting to chat with the person who runs the business.Scottish Power6 yearsI went out of contract because I never got my renewal papers from e.on, then this guy rang me up to explain what was going on. He then sorted my bills out and managed to slash them by 40%. Honestly, his customer service was top-notch. Would definitely give him a 10/10!E. ON7 yearsI got a call from Energy Renewal today, they wanted to know if my electricity deal was ending soon. I told them it’s not due to expire for more than a year yet. He then said he’d ring back another time and wished me a lovely weekend!Submit Your Own Report (0161 823 0771)
