I can't believe this call managed to get past the TPS, it's really shocking.

I got a call from someone claiming to be 'UK Housing' trying to find out if I wanted to make any sort of claim against my landlord. They had no clue who I was. The moment I told them I’m on the Telephone Preference Service list, they just cut off the call straight away.

Honestly, I don’t see how TPS could do anything about these calls, it’s not really under their control. Above, there’s a link explaining the few genuine cases where TPS might be involved. This is definitely a con! Just send a report via text to 7726. Also, you can watch those BBC1 and Channel 5 documentaries on scams on iPlayer and My5 for more info.

Got a call from someone saying they were from UK Damp Services, but I don’t think that company is real. They asked if I had any issues with damp. The way they spoke made it feel like it was some big call centre over in India.

Got a call from someone saying they were with "UK Housing Disrepair Services," but the line was awful and you could hear loads of noise like it was a call centre. When I asked for their website, they said "housingdisrepairservices.com," but that site doesn't even show up. Definitely feels like a scam to me.

Inquiring about home repairs? Sounds rather dubious to me-definitely a scam if you ask me!

Got a call from someone saying they were "UK Housing Disrepair Services." The line was really dodgy, with loads of background noise like it was coming from a call centre. When I asked for their website, they said "housingdisrepairservices.com" but I checked and it’s not a real site. Definitely a scam.

Got a call from someone claiming they were from the council, saying they wanted to check if my place needed any repairs - totally fishy. When I asked which council exactly, the bloke went on a ramble about the ‘Ministry of Justice’ or something like that. I pretended I didn’t know anything and dragged the chat out as long as I could until he lost patience and hung up. The voice sounded Indian and I reckon it was a call centre, but they used a Manchester phone number to try and be convincing.

I received a call on my work line, which is affiliated with a hospital, and initially, it mentioned connecting me to an agent. Upon realising it wasn't related to patient matters, I decided to hang up.

Got a call from a guy with an Asian accent, said he was from UK housing and asked if there was any damage to my home. He just kept rattling on without giving me a chance to say anything. Felt like one of those common scams, so I blocked the number and reported it straight away.

I received a call from someone purporting to be from “UK Housing,” supposedly concerning repairs to my property. However, the moment I mentioned that I'm a homeowner, their tone turned quite nasty. They ended up cutting the conversation short. Quite shocking, really.

As a parcel delivery firm, we've been inundated with seven calls from these clueless individuals today. They just can’t seem to grasp that we operate out of a business premises, not a residential address. It’s quite baffling, really!

"Just got off the phone, and it's pretty obvious he was working from a call centre - such a typical spiel!"

I’ve had numerous calls to my home phone from this number. When I finally picked up, the person on the other end said they were conducting a survey regarding housing repairs. I informed them that my number is on the Telephone Preference Service list which prohibits unsolicited calls. The caller suddenly backtracked and insisted they must have “dialled the wrong number.” Funny, given they've called me multiple times!

I received a call purporting to be from UK Housing, mentioning something about a repair. However, they couldn’t quite specify what exactly needed fixing. The call had this strange echoey quality, suggesting it was coming from a computer rather than a regular phone line. Quite suspicious, if you ask me!

This definitely felt like some kinda scam. I got a call on one of our work lines and as soon as I picked up, they asked if we were a business. When I replied asking if that was important, they just ended the call. What’s weird is that the number they called isn’t even listed anywhere, so kinda odd it showed up on our phone at all.

Got a call from this Asian guy who said his name was John, with what sounded like loads of people chatting in a call centre nearby. He was asking if there was any damage or mould in my flat. Told him no, and he just cut me off. Pretty sure it was just another spam call. I sent a quick text to the UK Police Fraud team on 7726 to report it. If more people did that and also shared info on sites like this, it would really help sort out these scammers. Just text ‘Call 01618205542’ to 7726 if you get something similar!

ID was hidden, no one spoke when I picked up, seemed like one of those scam or telemarketer calls.
