Got a call from Credit Investigation Bureau, they mentioned my name and claimed I owed some money. I told them I didn’t, and she just apologised for disturbing me and hung up nicely. She spoke with a thick Asian accent, so it was quite hard to catch everything she said. Bit of a hassle and definitely sounded like a scam to me, especially since I don’t really have any debts.

I usually ignore calls from automated numbers or the people they put me through to, so I didn’t hang about for any sales talk. If it’s automated, I’m not interested anyway!

Got a call from someone with a foreign accent saying they were from the "Credit Investigation Bureau" about some debts supposedly owed. The guy called himself Dean. When I told him I don’t owe anything, he kept insisting I must have some loans or credit deals. I told him no and asked him to take my info off their list. +441618204952 sounded like an Indian accent with a bunch of other Indian voices in the background. They kept saying I was in their system for owing money. I told them I already had plenty of debts, so they started talking about IVAs or trust deeds (like what we have in Scotland). I humoured them for about 5 minutes, then called them out saying I don’t actually owe anything. Then they started arguing, threatening to report me to the financial authorities for wasting their time, lol. Blocked them straight away.
