Got a call from someone with a foreign accent saying they were from the "Credit Investigation Bureau" about some debts supposedly owed. The guy called himself Dean. When I told him I don’t owe anything, he kept insisting I must have some loans or credit deals. I told him no and asked him to take my info off their list. I received a rather unsettling phone call from someone claiming that my late mother had an outstanding debt. They were curiously able to provide her name and address, but when pressed for specifics regarding the debt, they were surprisingly vague.
