Scam about car accidents! Sad to say, some people do fall for it. Every time someone spots these fraud calls, they really need to let the cops know. Just search for 'action fraud' online, find the 'police.uk' website, then hit the 'report' button, choose the phishing section, and scroll past the fake email stuff to make your report about this. You don’t have to sign up or anything. Apparently, over a million scam calls, texts, and emails are coming through weekly. If we all reported them, it could make a massive difference. Keep your wits about you, everyone!

Over the course of three days, I got about 10 calls, each from a different number, all claiming I’d been in some kind of accident. I kept telling them to quit ringing because nothing had happened. After I threatened to report them, they finally left me alone. Proper annoying and felt like harassment.

Got a call from a woman claiming she was ringing on behalf of the Accident Investigation Department, saying I’d been in an accident. She kept saying “right” like she wanted me to confirm or agree with her story. I asked her how she got my info, and she just kept going on about the National Accident Investigation Dept. I wasn’t having any of it and told her she was a scammer before hanging up straight away.

Got a call from 016 182 026 41 right after I just hung up on 016 154 303 37. The second was meant to be about an accident I supposedly got hurt in. They rang me three times. That same morning, I also got calls from 019 384 025 22 and 019 058 853 47, but I left them unanswered.

Today, I received a rather peculiar phone call from a lady who insisted she was associated with an organisation named Accident Road Helpline. Apparently, she wanted to discuss a car accident I supposedly experienced, which frankly baffled me, as I’ve never even heard of the place or been in such a predicament! I made it abundantly clear to her that I was completely in the dark about this, yet she carried on relentlessly, attempting to convince me of some grand payout I could allegedly claim. It felt extremely dodgy, and after a bit of digging, it’s obvious this is a notorious scam that’s been doing the rounds online.

Got a call from 01618202641 saying they're from the National Accident Helpline. They told me someone linked to my phone number was involved in an accident and kept trying to get details out of me. I told them to explain what they do and why they didn’t have a proper contact name, plus said they should send any info in writing if needed. They just ended the call after that.

I got a call from someone claiming I’d been in a car crash, which is completely untrue. Honestly, I found it pretty confusing since I wasn’t involved in any accident at all. It seemed like a bogus call.

Some guy (couldn't catch his name right) claimed to be ringing from the National Accident Helpline. He said my Insurance Company had shared info about a car crash I supposedly had in the last couple of years. I quickly sussed it was a scam. When I asked for the name of the Insurance Company, he couldn’t give it, just said it was from some general database. Then I asked when and where the accident took place - he had no answers. I told him I work as a Co-ordinator for NWS locally and would report this scam, and he hung up pretty sharpish.
