I usually just let unknown numbers go to voicemail, sometimes it picks up an automated message. After that, I come here to see if others have had the same calls or if it’s some kind of harassment. My number’s also on the TPS list and it's ex-directory. Honestly, I don’t get what these callers are after, do they really get anyone to pay for their services? Totally agree with everyone else here - a right bunch of annoying idiots. If they keep calling, pick up and ask straight up where they found your number. If they say it’s from some list, call them out on it, say you’ve never heard of that and keep pressing them for the source. Usually, they get annoyed and just hang up! Best part? They tend to not call back after that. Beyond that, it’s really tricky to know what to do. One thing I’m curious about - has anyone here had dealings with Help-Link? Could be they’re the ones sharing your number around.

Honestly, I was about ready to chuck my phone in the bin it was so annoying with all the unwanted calls. Then I got BT Call Protect, and wow, what a difference! Since turning it on, the nuisance calls have all but stopped, and it even blocks calls from private numbers. Best part is, it's free if you have BT on your line. We’ve finally got some peace and quiet in the house! Definitely recommend everyone with BT to give it a go - it's seriously worth it.

Thing is, this is not a home, it’s a business and that number has always been for work, so I’m pretty sure it’s a scam.
