Phone number ☎️ 01618200630 👆 is reported as a scam linked to fraudulent PPI refund claims, often involving calls from individuals falsely representing legitimate companies. Callers typically pressure victims to share bank details and to purchase life insurance policies under the guise of securing or avoiding tax on alleged refunds. These operations are persistent, sometimes using multiple aliases and fake accents, and can be very convincing. Genuine firms do not request upfront payments or insurance as a condition for refunds. Victims are advised not to provide personal or financial information, to verify caller details independently via official registers such as the FCA, and to report suspicious calls to authorities. Engaging with scammers to waste their time may deter their efforts but vigilance remains essential.

5 yearsSome bloke calling himself ‘James’ gave me a ring, but it was clear he was an Indian chap who definitely ain’t called James. He said I could claim 3 grand in PPI and grilled me with questions. Then he handed the phone over to the ‘boss’ who introduced himself as William. Turns out it was the same guy but trying out a dodgy accent. I reckon if I hadn’t hung up, next thing he’d be after my bank details. Suspicious as heck.JamesIndiaWilliam6 yearsSo, I got a ring saying I was owed £3645, then they wanted my sort code and account number. Being daft, I gave it to them. When I cottoned on to what I'd done, I rang my bank immediately and explained everything. The bloke on the phone even had the nerve to tell me to ring him back - he said his name was Mark Johnstone and gave me a policy number. I'm usually pretty careful about this kind of scam, but these lot were shockingly convincing. Honestly, please don't be as gullible as me and avoid picking up these calls! xMark Johnstone6 yearsGot a call from an Asian guy telling me I’m due £3265 from some PPI insurance. He started asking about my health, then transferred me to another Asian fella, who then passed me over to an insurance firm. They said I should get a life insurance policy. After giving them all my info, I waited a couple months and then cancelled the policy. Turns out they’re just after commission from selling these policies. Weirdly, they asked for my bank details before even checking any insurance stuff. Definitely a scam.6 yearsHad one of those PP life insurance lot ring me up the other day. Decided to mess about and kept them on for nearly an hour just for laughs, feeding them fake card numbers. They proper lost it after a while! Been using this trick a few times now to give ’em a right good runaround and brighten my day. If you ever get a ring from these scammers, just waste their time back - it's better than letting them get on with their dodgy business, plus you can really get their whole office all riled up and distracted from trying to pull a fast one!6 yearsTotal con artists. I've already reached out to the police and reported them to the FCA.FCA6 yearsThey said I was getting a refund for my PPI, but then suddenly started pushing life insurance on me, claiming it was to dodge the tax on the refund. Bit dodgy if you ask me!6 yearsI work in compliance at the claims guys and can assure you that this number has nothing to do with our company. We would never request any kind of upfront fee or ask anyone to buy insurance before their settlement money is sorted. So please, don’t share your details or send any money to those ringing you from that number. The Claims Guys6 yearsrobert morris, peter wilson and about six more are just plain liars and really clueless people.Peter WilsonRobert MorrisSubmit Your Own Report (0161 820 0630)
