I received a call from someone I didn't recognise, so I chose to disregard their efforts to reach me.

Received a call from this number, and to be honest, the woman on the line was nearly incomprehensible due to her strong accent, which I reckon was Indian. She claimed to be representing O2/Virgin, chatting about a supposed 50% cut in my call charges. In a moment of weakness, I foolishly handed over my email address. While I was still on the phone, two emails popped into my inbox, one pretending to be from O2's security team. She kept pushing me to click on the link in the message. I told her I would look at it later and ended the call. A few hours down the line, they attempted to ring me again-twice! I opted not to answer. Whether it's a scam or not, the whole thing felt way too aggressive for my liking.
