Received a call claiming to be from my energy and gas provider about my contract. However, when I quizzed him, he couldn’t even name my actual supplier. This led me to believe it was a potential scam attempt.

I picked up the phone and it seemed like some kind of automated call, then suddenly someone was there on the other end. I said hello a few times but then the call just cut off. The number was 227 or something like that. Blocked it straight away. Don’t call me if you’re just gonna hang up when I answer. Proper annoying, especially when I didn’t ask for the call.

They keep ringing me loads, using different numbers after I block them, must be the same scam lot. Now they want my info but i just block the new numbers each time. It’s happening like four times daily. I told them to stop last year, but seems they just passed my request on to some other scammers or something. Proper annoying!

Got a call from an unfamiliar number at 3:31pm on the 30th of May 2022, but there was no voicemail left. Since I didn’t recognise the number, I went ahead and blocked it.

Got a call from this number on the 25th of May 2022 around 1:40 in the afternoon. I didn’t pick up since the number was unfamiliar, and they didn’t bother to leave a message. No idea who it was, but I went ahead and blocked the number just in case.

haha this guy rang saying he was from my electric and gas company. i asked him which supplier he meant and he just couldn't say. then he asked if my gas was alright, i told him i don’t actually have gas, and he just hung up on me. so sketchy!
