Today, I had an unexpected phone call from a lady claiming to be with Aviva Insurance, inquiring whether I’d been involved in a recent car crash. It’s utterly absurd! This particular scam seems to be doing the rounds lately, and I’m baffled that these individuals genuinely believe they can pull the wool over our eyes. It’s high time they were held accountable for their antics!

As of now, it appears that this number is associated with Zopiclone UK. I placed an order for some products totalling £70. They provided me with a tracking number and claimed my items had been dispatched. However, upon checking, the tracking number was linked to someone entirely different and in another region of the country! Exercise caution with this one.

This firm called me claiming it was about an accident I’d supposedly been in? I thanked them and said yes, I had an accident. I managed to keep the chat going for quite a bit and eventually got through to the manager who said they’d sort payment into my account. We talked for ages about how tough life’s been since the crash and how excited I was to get the cash, sharing my personal details and all. Then, I mentioned the tank that ran me over was being driven by Mr Blobby dressed in a pink polka-dot suit - and that’s when he just cut me off!

He said something about a recent accident that never happened. I just told him what I thought about his dodgy job and hung up straight away.

I reckon the safest thing to do is keep quiet until the caller talks first. If it’s some kind of harassing call, then they get no info from you and it stops them in their tracks. I found myself in a rather curious situation recently. A caller reached out, prompting me to verify if I'd been involved in an accident over the past two years, to which I was rather taken aback. When I inquired about their identity and the reason for their interrogation, they claimed to be from some sort of Road Claims Authority. They insisted they had received information about an accident supposedly linked to me and were keen on a simple yes or no answer. I immediately questioned their need for such information since they clearly weren't my insurance provider. They conceded this point, but their persistence in further questioning left me baffled. I pressed them on their motives, to which they curtly responded that it was merely part of their job. I retorted that their occupation was of little concern to me; what I needed was clarity on why this information was significant to them. Instinctively, I sensed something was off about the entire exchange, as if it were all a ruse. After a few more exchanges of this back-and-forth, the caller finally apologised for the disturbance and promptly ended the conversation. Quite the peculiar experience, I must say!

Just like the previous remark... I had a chap named 'Michael' inquire if I’d been in an accident over the past couple of years. I played along and said yes, just to keep the conversation going. He proceeded to mention I was due to receive some cash before Christmas and he needed to double-check a few details. So, I cheekily asked him to remind me about the car I supposedly drove during that dreadful accident, and I made sure to repeat it about five times. His temper flared, and I couldn’t contain my laughter. Eventually, he ended the call in a proper huff.
