She told me to verify her number, 0161 818 9616, to prove she was legit. Then she told me to press the control and window keys together on my keyboard. When I did, a box popped up and she told me to press something in it. That’s when I stopped playing along. She asked if I saw a list and I said yes, then she told me to click the last item. I never did any of that, I just pretended to follow along. I finally told her, “You’re not BTelecom, you’re trying to hack me, goodbye.” After I hung up, the phone rang again and she said, “Get lost, you don’t deserve anything.” These scammers need to be stopped.
