I got a call from a number that was hidden, with someone saying they were from the "American Lottery Centre". They claimed I’d won £150,000 in their lottery. I told them I hadn’t entered anything, but they insisted it was for people who had taken part in lotteries they manage, which supposedly covers most UK ones. They asked for my personal info and, stupidly, I gave some wrong details. They said I could either fly to the US to pick up the prize (all costs covered by them) or deal with a firm of solicitors in Manchester to sort it out. The number they gave was 01618187774. I’m sure they’ll want some sort of advance payment soon enough.
