On 16th December, I got a ring from this number where someone said they were from BT, saying my computer was hacked and there were engineers nearby fixing issues. The caller used a very English-sounding name but their accent was quite strong and foreign, maybe Indian. They wanted me to turn on my PC, but I said no and told them I'd contact BT directly. They gave me a phone number to call, but I didn't trust it and instead dialled the one from my BT account. Turns out it was a total scam! Just a heads up to everyone - they sounded quite believable apart from the accent and the dodgy name!

Got a call earlier and they seemed pretty believable. My wife had her hairdresser over, so couldn't really chat. They're supposed to ring back at 9 in the morning, but I’m definitely not picking up then!

Today, I got a call from this number claiming to be from BT, saying someone was using my broadband from abroad without my permission. They asked me to enter a code on my online account. They sounded pretty legit but I double-checked with BT and they told me they never called me. Definitely a scam, be careful!

Received a call from someone posing as BT Internet Services, claiming they could help with dodgy users hogging my broadband. The callers had thick Indian accents. I requested they send me a proper letter on BT letterhead detailing their concerns and what steps they intended to take. To my surprise, they flatly refused and tried to press me for information instead. I hung up promptly. Afterward, I investigated the number they called from, and lo and behold, it's not affiliated with BT at all. It's undoubtedly a scam!
