Make sure you find out who’s actually behind the company and who’s setting up these IVAs before you get involved. If you suspect anything dodgy, definitely report it to Action Fraud.

Got a call from someone claiming to be from some HMRC division, with the number 0161818 7669. They told me to ring back but only if I had a solicitor with me, otherwise there’d be consequences. Honestly, felt more like a threat than a proper warning.

Got a call today from 02374241155, another one of those dodgy HMRC scams everyone's been talking about. The bloke said I needed to ring an Officer Gray on the same number. They even phoned my nan, who’s 91, and she got really worried and rang her lawyer straight away. Thankfully, he advised her to just ignore it. Definitely a scam call!

Got a recorded call telling me the matter was urgent and that I needed to get a solicitor involved straight away. Sounded like one of those dodgy automated messages.

Got a voicemail, sounded like it was from some sort of regional office or something. They kept saying it's really urgent and "time sensitive," mentioned a lawyer or legal stuff, but I didn’t catch all of it. It asked me to call back that same number. Pretty obvious scam if you ask me, just trying to scare folks into ringing straight away. I checked with 1471 and the number the message came from was 03231390813, which seems dodgy to me.

Got a call from what sounded like HMRC with a recorded message telling me to ring a 0161 number, saying it was urgent. Seems dodgy to me since HMRC wouldn’t have my number in the first place. Pretty sure it’s a scam.
