Initially, there was nothing but silence on the other end, but just as I was about to hang up, a woman with an Asian accent asked for my daughter using her married surname. I wasn’t anticipating any calls, particularly on a Saturday, and my daughter wasn't home either. It definitely felt like one of those standard marketing calls, so I’ll just disregard it.

I received a call at 8:15 this morning. When I picked up, the caller wanted to verify my identity by mentioning my name, address, and phone number. Then they began firing off questions, asking if I owned my home or was renting. I quickly informed them that such details were none of their concern, and they abruptly hung up on me!
