From what I found, the 0161818 numbers seem to be linked to Wavecrest (UK) Ltd. Apparently, they’re owned by New Call Telecom Holdings Limited, which is based at 5-9 Eden Street, Kingston Upon Thames, KT1 1BQ. Also, one of the directors is Dr. Jerome Paul Booth, who lives in Worcester, Worcestershire, at Willowdene on Barneshall Avenue, WR5 3EU.

Got a call from a woman with an Indian accent who said her name was Claudia and that she was from the Telephone Preference Service. She asked if I was still getting spam calls and said she could send me a gadget to block them. I told her TPS doesn’t do phone calls, it’s all online now. She insisted the website wasn’t working anymore. I had my laptop right there and checked while she spoke - the site was definitely up. Felt like a total scam, so I ended the call before she could ask for any cash or personal info.

This number rang me twice already today. I set my phone to divert calls to voicemail after just one ring with the message saying 'please leave a message!'. If they do leave a message, then I decide whether to answer, return the call, or just ignore it. There's a section about reporting phishing scams - it’s really important to read all the info there. After that, you can submit the details of what happened straight to the police’s system. This is the best way to help them track how widespread these scams are. Don’t ignore it!

Some bloke with an Indian accent rang up, asking for someone who apparently had a name that was a mash-up of my daughter’s and mine. When I told him no such person exists, he just started laughing. I wasn’t impressed by that so I ended the call straight away.

I received a call from a woman purporting to be with the Telephone Preference Services. She was rather insistent about needing my credit card details to supposedly confirm and activate my account. I'm absolutely fed up with these sorts of scams! Notably, she spoke with a pronounced Asian accent.

I’ve had three calls from the same number today. The first time, the caller claimed to be from Microsoft, but I told them I’m on the TPS list and asked them not to ring again. The second caller said they were from the TPS itself! By the third ring, I just let it go to voicemail and didn’t pick up.

Got a call from a guy with a really thick Indian accent who asked if we’re still getting annoying calls. I said yep, and that he’s just one more nuisance caller, then I ended the call.

Tried to reach whoever owns this number, but as soon as I asked who was calling, the line just went dead! Strange behaviour!

Somebody rang up saying they could provide a gadget to stop all the spam calls, but then they asked for my bank card info. Felt a bit dodgy to me.

I dialled the number and some bloke with an Asian accent who said his name was "Jason" picked up. He claimed it was some kind of number preference system or something. Yeah right, like I’m falling for that, Jason! What a load of rubbish.

BEWARE OF THIS SCAM!! They claimed to be from the Telephone Preference Service saying I had to update my details. You could hear loads of voices and people chatting in the background, sounded so dodgy. I had a feeling it was a con, but decided to play along for a bit. They asked for my name and address first, then tried to grill me about a bank card expiring in 04/22 and wanted the card number next. As soon as that came up, I cut the call off straight away!!
