I got a call on my work line from someone asking about a crash I supposedly had. I haven’t been in any accident, so I quickly explained he’d reached a business number, not a personal one, and he ended the call pretty sharpish. I heard he also tried phoning a few of my coworkers directly but got no answer from them.

Some woman with a deep voice called me asking if I’d ever been in a car crash, but never said who she was - quite impolite! When I asked who I was speaking to, she said something like Accident Helpline. I told her I’d never heard of them, and she sounded a bit shocked. Then I handed the phone over to my husband, and he questioned where she got our details from, but she was really evasive. Seems like one of those random cold calls out of nowhere. Best to just hang up.
