contacted the help centre about my boiler, since it’s quite old. They’re sending someone to check it out and see if they can sort it. The guy I spoke to on the phone was really nice.

I picked up the phone and there was complete silence, then suddenly an automated voice said "no one is able to take your call, press number 3". I ended the call straight away as I definitely didn’t ring them. I’m quite old and have been advised not to reply or press any buttons, apparently some folks have been hit with ridiculous charges for answering these sorts of calls. Just be careful, this could easily be a scam.
