Got a call from some PPI firm saying they wanted to check my details and send me a free bank cheque. They couldn’t even get basic facts right - when I told them I never had an account in the years they mentioned and that I was too young to have had any financial agreement, the woman sounded confused. She said they’d run a check and another agent would ring back. Sounds like a total scam to me because they just hung up after that. Also, I’m worried about how they even got my phone number. I reckon they were going to try and get my bank details over the phone. Blocked straight away.

They rang my wife on her mobile and our home phone, using the same number, claiming our Virgin Media internet router is constantly streaming worldwide and that we'd be cut off unless we contacted their tech guy to get a new IP address. I spoke directly with Virgin Media, and everything’s absolutely fine. Total SCAMMERS trying to trick people here.

Had missed a call from this number a few times and finally checked my voicemail - it was just about 11 seconds long. Heard a bunch of background noise, maybe some kind of music? 1 814 9625 called me saying they were doing a PPI check. It was clearly a call centre and they wouldn’t share any real info. Got pretty pushy when I said I’d already claimed everything I could. They tried to send info to my home, which is odd cause every PPI company I used sent stuff to my work address, which they didn’t even seem to know the post code for on this call!
