I've had a couple of calls in the last four days that raised my suspicions. The first caller claimed to be affiliated with BT and wanted to assess our broadband speed. Then, the second call came in with a similar story but insisted they were actually BT! They asked me to access my router and provide some details. The moment I mentioned we weren't located in the UK, they abruptly hung up. Quite funny really, considering we don't even have BT services where I am! Definitely a scam, without a doubt.

Someone called about a PPI claim and already had loads of my details, real dodgy trying to make me spill personal info. I just hung up and blocked them. Watch out folks!

JPS is just a total pain. They keep bothering folks even though they were told 18 months back to quit calling. It ain’t on. I’m seriously gonna report them to the TPS now.

I’d checked with them before about PPI so I guess that’s why they had me on their calling list (makes sense) and now they’re ringing up to ask if I’ve been mis-sold any 'packaged' bank accounts cos that’s the latest problem. The woman calling wasn’t rude or pushy at all, I just told her I never had one of those accounts and she was fine with that.

JPS Financial Services called me before about a possible PPI claim. This time they were phoning to follow up with old clients, asking if I’d ever had a bank account with a monthly charge that covered extras you never really needed, like mobile phone insurance. Sounds like another dodgy mess to me, no surprise there. The woman on the phone was nice enough, and I told her I'd never actually paid for a bank account. Since I’d used their PPI service before, it felt like a legit call, so I’ll leave it at that.

Earlier today, I received a rather unexpected cold call from a woman who, judging by her accent, might have been from India. What struck me as unusual was her knowing my name right off the bat. She went on to claim that I had some PPI compensation waiting for me. Not one to be easily swayed, I promptly countered by saying I had successfully reclaimed all my PPI entitlements myself. She then seemed rather adamant that there was no way I could have traced back all the way to 1980 for those claims. I firmly insisted that I had indeed done just that with every credit agreement I’ve had, right from 1980, making sure each source was checked for any PPI owed. Though I’m a solicitor by trade-currently not on the job market-their relentless approach was quite startling. I can only think of how others might find such tactics overwhelming or even distressing, potentially leading them to divulge personal details. As for the legitimacy of these callers and their so-called claims management services, I truly have my doubts. I've been chasing PPI refunds since around 2010, and the number of intrusive calls I’ve received is becoming unbearable. This woman didn’t introduce herself by name but relentlessly quizzed me about PPI. Quite frankly, I just wish there was a way to hold these callers accountable for their persistent interruptions.
