Got a call about a car accident scam, they wanted my personal info but I don’t even drive.

Got a random bloke ringing about my life insurance, couldn’t even say which company it was with. Told him I wasn’t buying it and have blocked the number now.

It was one of those PPI scams, and they had no clue how they got my number. When I asked them, instead of explaining, they just got all rude and started shouting at me. Proper cheeky. I stayed calm and mentioned the Data Protection laws, then the line just went dead.

I put them on my blocked list and now they’ve stopped bothering me. Don’t pick up if they ring you. They claimed I was involved in a car crash and said they wanted to offer compensation. If they can't be bothered to leave a voicemail, it tells me straight away that it’s likely some sort of sales pitch, which clearly isn't crucial. Whenever it’s a legitimate company that I've previously had dealings with or one I've submitted an inquiry to online, they typically do drop a message. This number’s been blowing up my phone for the past 3 months, sometimes as early as 7 in the morning and as late as half past 9 at night - honestly, it’s proper harassment! I told them they’d got the wrong person and they nearly accused me of pulling their leg. Got a call from Moto Investigations about some accident I supposedly had but never did. Just told them to buzz off and ended the call. They’re on my block list now.

I got a call from someone called Jessica at RTA saying ‘hello madam, how are you today’. Honestly, when they start like that I just think “oh no, another accident claim”. So I just told her exactly that and hung up straight away. Didn’t even let her finish asking how I was! Like they care at all :)

They call me like 3 times nearly every other day. Ive blocked their number loads of times. Then after a bit the last few digits switch and they call me again, but its defo the same lot. :)

Had loads of missed calls from something called ‘Road Traffic Association’ while I was busy at work. When I finally picked up and asked how they got my number, and told them I was working so needed to be quick, they just laughed and hung up on me. Proper annoying!

Got a call from a woman with an accent, said she was from the Road Traffic Agency and claimed I’d been in a crash two years back, which is rubbish. Didn’t answer after that and just blocked the number.

This number has been incessantly ringing my elderly father, who is disabled. I've made four requests now for them to remove his number from their database, yet today alone, they've called him five times without uttering a word. I'm absolutely livid! When I tried to return the call, I was met with a pre-recorded message that redirected me to an email address, which, surprise surprise, is also unresponsive.

Received a call purporting to be from my car insurance provider, insisting that I'd been involved in an accident two years prior, which I apparently forgot to mention on my paperwork. The chap rang me about four times daily, knew my address, and became quite hostile when I challenged his claims. He mentioned he'd be in touch again later. Quite unnerving!

Got a call from some cold caller trying to find out if I’d been in any car crashes. I told them I hadn’t had any accidents and they went on saying it doesn’t matter if I wasn’t driving, maybe someone scratched it. I said my car’s a decade old and full of scratches already!
